Full of energy and showing many talents, this young man has grown through the years to become a widely known artist/DJ (14+yrs), professional sound & lighting tech/stagehand, and event promoter with his own Full Scale! event production company. (Nevercivil Productions LLC/(2006))
As a child Derek was interested in music and would be found running around the house with headphones on, later teen life, would be picked up by friends at the local Guitar Center where he would spend hours playing on the turntables. At the age of 20, he finally picked up his 1st set of turntables. Nov. 30th 2002, Pimp the System was his first event he put on as he was building up the concept to NEVERCIVIL and being tagged as "DJ PLAY"(2000)/PLAYdj(2008)
PLAYdj is the DJ for ANY and ALL!!! He is able to play mixed and unmixed music flawlessly and smoothly able to cater to any crowd.
